Welcome to my website!

I am a physical oceanographer studying regional ocean dynamics and predictability. My research interests focus on the continental shelves that link nearshore regions to the open ocean.

The continental shelf regions are important both economically and scientifically, primarily because their waters are the source of much seafood, they are the key regions for global material exchange, and they also provide different kinds of energy both in the form of fossil fuels, such as oil and gas, and renewable energy resources, such as wind and currents.

Specifically, I use ocean modeling systems(e.g., the Regional Ocean Modeling System - ROMS), machine learning models (e.g., the scikit-learn package) and data analysis methods to understand and predict the variation of ocean current systems and evaluate the corresponding influence on local marine environment.
